About Us

SBL is a league created for kids in SouthWest Valley, it was created by coaches who spent months asking parents what they would like to see in a league.

Several of the main issues were traveling long distances for practices, league not competitive enough, no girls league and most of all affordable.

SBL feel we have covered alot of these issues, we have advertisement all over SouthWest Valley from Palo Verde to SouthWest Phoenix. Our goal is to have each area have their own teams so we can limit travel and have players/teams practice and in most instances have at  least one game in their area.

SBL also wanted to make our league unique by allowing coaches to bring their own teams as well as allowing teams have thier own customed uniforms (if desired),  there will be no drafts your child will simply placed on a team in his or her area.

Girls only league is also an option that makes SBL different from other leagues, we have several divisions so if a girl is a newcomer to basketball she would play with and against other newcomers.

There are competitive and non competitive divisions and at our Gold level teams will play will play in tournaments throughout the valley as well as games outside the league. SBL is affiliated with several club teams, so if your child is ready to play club ball contact us and will arrange for tryouts.

Age groups are 6 years old to 16 years old boys and girls. Southwest Basketball League is strictly a Basketball league that concentrates on  basketball and is not a organization that deals with various sports at once. Our director is  accessible seven days per week for questions about league and phoe calls are returned in a timely fashion. League play is year round.
